Since 2006 Emendis has given its name to the family winery. Formerly it was called Puigmoltó, in reference to the farmhouse, of which there is historical news from the year 1186.

In the Cartolario de San Cugar de Vallés, document no. 1186 says:

“Bernat de Valls and Raimon Berenguer de Puigmoltó, give their nephew Raimon, a monk, the inheritance from their parents Arnau de Valls and Eemendis. They are land, vineyards, trees, orchards, houses, a wine press, two boots, 16 gold coins and a quarter of oats.”

No specific mention is made of Puigmoltó, but the status of the inheritance is beyond doubt. It is the oldest news of the farmhouse.

Based on this document, we can affirm that the first woman for whom there is data to live on the farm bore the name of Eemendis. It is said that its original name was Ermendis and that due to transcriptions over the years, this erre was transformed into an e.

Today, it is a source of inspiration. Its name is steeped in history, it brings together the values ​​of a job well done: tradition, modernity, elegance and that sixth sense that only women have.
